This album Rabbit Rabbit is an eery fairy-tale, variously ornamented both intricately and sparse. From the Pacific Northwest, it’s the latest by You Are Plural, a group to hail from Olympia, Washington since 2011. Explicit spectacles such as Cut Along The Line and The River Is Forming Skin, weave and deliver succulent doses of cathartic rapture mused with humanistic questions of temporality and corporeality. The drummer fits in nicely, there’s a nice jazz sensibility, factoring in swing and shuffling through various ecstatic highs. Getting to know this group’s music is a real joy! Something you might have heard and that will leave us wondering – someone says this to you on the first of the month and so you’re doomed with bad luck for the remainder?
